Q- How do I prepare for you to clean my carpets ?
Q- How long will the carpet take to dry ?
- Most carpets dry within 4-6 hours. Humidity can be a factor and extend dry times.
Q- How long will my upholstery take to dry ?
- With our method most upholstery dries in 1-2 hours, if Scotchgard is applyed add about an hour to the dry time
Q- What is the difference between a spot and a stain?
- Spot - a removable substance on the fibers.
- Stain - a permanent discoloration of the fiber due to a substance.
Q- What causes spots to reappear?
- Spots can reappear for two reasons:
- The carpet has soil deep in the backing material or pad, unable to be removed, that works its way up through the fiber when the carpet is drying. This is called "wicking". If this does occur after our visit, we will come back out at no additional charge. Wicking is very unpredictable and is only discovered after the carpets have been cleaned during the drying process.
- Solutions in the carpet can attract soil over time (cleaning solutions, shampoo/soap spills, etc.) If not properly extracted at the time of the spill or application, a residue may be left behind attracting dirt, oils, etc. If not completely rinsed during a professional cleaning, the residue may remain. The pre-inspection is important to point out areas of any spills of possible residue. The last step of our cleaning process is a cleaner rinse to rinse any remaining solution.
