What's in a name? Our name is very special to us. Our 7 year old son came up with it and it stuck. JENS stands for Jake (8yrs), Emily (6yrs.), Nelson (the dad) and Susan (the mom) We have always felt it was very important to include the kids in the business and this was the perfect way.

With two active kids and two active dogs, we definitely have our share of allergens, bacteria and lots of mysterious things in our carpets. Nelson had worked in the industry years ago, first as a cleaning technician and later in installation and repair, plus, as a custom area rug craftsman, so we decided this would be the perfect business for us to start as a family. We have designed our company to be planet friendly and have carefully chosen our products accordingly.

With education as one of our main focuses, we regularly attended courses through the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning Restoration and Certification (www.iicrc.org). We currently hold the following certifications:

• CCT - Carpet Cleaning Technician
• UFT - Upholstery and Fabric Technician
• OCT - Odor Control Technician
• CRT - Color Repair Technician
• RRT - Carpet Repair and Reinstallation Technician
